Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse - Rayleigh, Essex - Up to £26.50 Hourly
We have an exhilarating opportunity for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse in vibrant Rayleigh, Essex. Earn up to £26.50 per hour working 4 days each week, ideally on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, although any four days between Monday and Friday from 9 to 5 can be accommodated. This one-month locum position, starting on 24th August, comes with a possibility of extension allowing you to use your expertise in a dynamic setting.

What you will do:
- Coordinate care as the Care Coordinator, assessing and planning evidence-based care for a defined group of service users and their carers within the Castle Point and Rochford catchment area.
- Provide professional advice and support to other agencies and the multidisciplinary team, while serving as a role model and resource for junior and less experienced staff.
- Conduct clinical risk assessments for service users contacting the Out of Hours service, offering effective advice, guidance, and decision-making to coordinate reviewed care plans.
- Collaborate on admissions, case conferences, reviews, and discharges with members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and improve service quality by participating in setting standards, auditing, monitoring, and reviewing according to current clinical guidance and policies.
- Adhere to and implement the Mental Health Act 1983 requirements, ensuring safeguarding for vulnerable adults and children.
- Foster service user and carer involvement within the service, promoting and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriately as per Nursing and Midwifery Council’s professional code.
- Deliver carers’ assessments, education, and support in alignment with the National Service Framework requirements.
- Provide support and caseload coverage for colleagues and team members as needed.
