Fertility Nurse
Location: CRGH
Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week (including 1 in 4 weekends)
Reporting to: Head of Nursing
About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused Registered Fertility Nurse to join our growing nursing team at CRGH.
As a Fertility Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting patients throughout their fertility journey, delivering exceptional clinical care while working within HFEA and NMC standards. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding patient experiences in a supportive and innovative environment.
What You'll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care throughout fertility treatment.
Conduct nurse consultations, treatment planning, and injection teaching.
Perform phlebotomy and medication administration.
Support fertility procedures using aseptic techniques.
Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the medical team.
Maintain accurate clinical records using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Provide clear, empathetic advice and guidance to patients throughout their treatment journey.
Participate in emergency response and maintain mandatory clinical competencies.

Work in accordance with HFEA and NMC Codes of Practice.
Promote patient safety, dignity, confidentiality, equality, and wellbeing.
Build positive relationships with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
Maintain high standards of infection prevention, medicines management, and safeguarding.
Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement, and service development.
Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate.
Maintain an active NMC registration and complete all mandatory training.
About You
You will have:
Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with active NMC registration.
A Diploma or Degree in Nursing (BSc or equivalent; Master's desirable).
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.
A caring, empathetic, and patient-centred approach.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Previous fertility experience is desirable; however, candidates with relevant women's health or gynaecology experience who are keen to develop in fertility are encouraged to apply.
