Join our dynamic team at Reflux UK as a Director of Clinical Services and Specialist Clinician and play an instrumental role in looking after patients through their journey from the first enquiry to treatment for reflux-related conditions, ensuring that Clinical Governance is exemplary and help play a role in building the business for the future. We are seeking a flexible, self-motivated, proactive and compassionate individual with excellent communication skills to manage patients, run the monthly MDT, update and manage Clinical Governance, and ensure exceptional patient care, as well as support SMT with business development and innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Patient Management: Respond promptly and courteously to patient enquiries via phone and email, offering accurate information about reflux treatments and procedures.
  • Educating Patients: Clearly explain reflux-related conditions, treatment options, and procedures to patients, ensuring they are well-informed to make healthcare decisions.
  • Manage and coordinate MDT: Efficiently run the MDT providing information relating to patients’ symptoms and test results to those attending the meetings and coordinate these meetings. Follow up after the MDT and provide recommendations to patients.
  • Nurturing Consultant Relationships: Build rapport with existing consultants as well as supporting SMT to build and nurture new collaborations.
  • Support Physiologists: Guide physiologists with providing an exceptional service for patients undergoing tests and ensure patients have a seamless patient experience. Provide and assist them in making informed decisions. Help and support with operational duties as required.
  • Support Medical Director and Team Collaboration: On a day-to-day basis support and work closely with Medical Director of RefluxUK to maintain patient safety and excellence. Work closely with senior management members, healthcare professionals, and other staff to ensure a safe and efficient workflow. Support SMT with new innovations and business development within the company.
  • Maintain CQC compliance, Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain CQC compliance by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions, policies, audits, meetings and HR for the company.
  • Continuous Learning: Ensure that all staff stay updated on the latest developments in reflux treatments and procedures by attending training sessions as required.
  • Maintain data and coordinate research projects: Maintain and secure the collection of relevant data. Co-ordinate and liaise with clinicians on perspective research projects and support any ongoing research projects.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in Clinical Governance in the healthcare or medical industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and understandably.
  • Empathetic and compassionate attitude towards patients, with a genuine desire to improve their health and well-being.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Flexible, proactive and self-motivated, with a drive and ambition to help grow the company and contribute to the organisation's success.
  • Knowledge of reflux-related conditions, treatments, and procedures is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and acquire relevant knowledge is essential.
  • Proficiency in using computer applications and CRM systems for, documentation, and record-keeping.
  • You must have a current driving licence
