Description
Priory Hospital Preston is looking to recruit a deputy ward manager to join the team on our acute ward. This is a full time 37.5 hours role.

Based in Bartle, near Preston, Priory Hospital Preston is a 50-bedded mental health hospital, offering an extensive range of services, delivered across four wards. We can support adult males and females with acute mental health needs and eating disorders, and specialise in the management and treatment of these conditions.




What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a deputy ward manager, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
  • First level Registered Nurse (RMN)
  • Clinical supervision experience is essential, training is desirable
  • Evidence of CPD and intent to maintain and develop CPD and leadership.
  • Good computer skills

What you'll bring to the role

To be successful as a Deputy Ward Manager, you will need to be a first-level Registered Nurse (RMN) with clinical supervision experience, while training in this area is desirable. Evidence of continued professional development (CPD) and a commitment to maintaining and developing both CPD and leadership skills are essential. Good computer skills and experience in Acute Mental Health are also required. Additionally, you should have at least three years, or equivalent, post-registration experience. Mentorship experience is desirable, although training can be provided.
