It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).
Priory Hospital Lincolnshire DN21 5UD. The location is not easily accessible via public transport, with limited direct routes and infrequent services in the surrounding area. As a result, commuting by car or other private transport is likely to be the most practical and reliable option for reaching the site.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Nurse, I ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and visitors while adhering to all relevant policies, statutory requirements, and governance standards. I assess and manage risks, promote diversity and inclusion, and maintain safe staffing levels and skill mix. I supervise and support staff through CPD, training, appraisals, clinical supervision, and performance management, while also mentoring junior staff and student nurses. I implement and evaluate therapeutic interventions, support multidisciplinary working, and work collaboratively with patients to assess needs, manage risks, and develop person-centred care plans. I act as a Named Nurse, regularly lead shifts, undertake designated lead roles within the ward, deputise for the Ward Manager when required, and contribute to staff recruitment, retention, and the delivery of high-quality care in line with national and local standards. You will join the team on the Secure ward. What you'll bring to the role
Essential
- Active Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council, meeting the requirements of Revalidation
- Trained Assessor/Supervisor
- Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership
- At least 18 Months - 2 years' experience post-registration
Demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality
