Description
Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaksis looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Managerto join the team. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week
Set in a semi-rural location in Hook, Hampshire, Priory Hospital Mildmay Oaks supports the NHS by providing low secure services and level 2 rehabilitation services for both male and female patients. This includes a specialist learning disability and autism spectrum support.
We also offer adult and child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS), and single-person, bespoke therapeutic placements (BTPs) across our hospital.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

The successful candidate will hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and meet all revalidation requirements. They will be a trained Assessor/Supervisor, withessentialexperience in providing clinical supervision (formal training desirable). The role requires clear evidence of continued professional development, alongside a strong commitment to maintaining and further developing clinical expertise and leadership capability. Good computer skills are also essential. Applicants should have 18 months to two years' post-registration experience and be able to demonstrate expertise within a defined clinical speciality.

- Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors.
- Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital framework of governance and communicates requirements to the wider team.
- Ensures that risk is assessed and managed across the immediate and wider working environment and that statutory requirements are met.
- Respects and applies the requirements of diversity and inclusion, promoting and role modelling these across the team.
