Deputy Nurse Manager – RGN/RMN

£45,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | Luxury Nursing Home | Good CQC

This stunning luxury nursing home, rated Good by CQC, provides high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care for older adults. With beautifully designed surroundings and a strong focus on person-centred care, the home provides an environment where residents can feel comfortable, supported and genuinely at home.

We’re looking for an experienced RGN or RMN who has already worked as a Deputy Nurse Manager within a nursing home. You’ll work closely with the Home Manager, providing confident clinical leadership, supporting the nursing and care teams and ensuring consistently high standards across the service.

What We’re Looking For

• RGN or RMN with active NMC registration – essential
• Previous Deputy Nurse Manager experience within a nursing home – essential
• Strong experience supporting older adults with nursing and dementia care needs
• Confident clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership skills with experience supporting Nurses and Care Assistants
• Good knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance
• Experience with care planning, medication management and risk assessments
• Confidence completing clinical audits and monitoring quality standards
• Ability to support, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary care team

Providing Clinical Leadership

• Support the Home Manager with the clinical and operational running of the home
• Provide visible leadership and guidance to nursing and care colleagues
• Maintain high standards across residential, nursing and dementia care
• Oversee care plans, risk assessments and medication management
• Monitor clinical practice and ensure residents’ changing needs are identified and addressed
• Lead on clinical audits, governance and quality improvement
• Maintain strong standards across safeguarding and infection prevention
• Support the supervision and development of nursing and care colleagues
• Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and external healthcare professionals
• Deputise for the Home Manager when required and provide confident leadership in their absence
