Deputy Nurse Manager

Up to £55,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | Luxury Nursing Home

Set within a luxury nursing home, this service provides high-quality Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care for older adults, combining exceptional clinical standards with a warm, comfortable and person-centred environment.

We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to work closely with the Home Manager, providing strong clinical leadership, developing the nursing and care teams and ensuring consistently high standards across the home.

What We’re Looking For

  • Current NMC registration as an RGN or RMN – essential
  • Previous nursing home experience – essential
  • Proven management or senior leadership experience within a nursing home – essential
  • Strong clinical knowledge across older adult nursing and dementia care
  • Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance
  • Experience with care planning, risk assessments, audits and quality improvement
  • Confidence leading, supporting and developing nursing and care teams
  • A compassionate, resident-focused approach to leadership
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families and healthcare professionals

Your Role

  • Work alongside the Home Manager in the clinical and operational leadership of the home
  • Provide a visible and supportive senior clinical presence for the nursing and care teams
  • Oversee assessments, care planning and reviews to ensure individual needs are consistently met
  • Maintain high standards of clinical governance, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
  • Lead clinical audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Coach and develop nurses and care staff, promoting confident and consistent practice
  • Support recruitment, induction and ongoing development of the team
  • Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and multidisciplinary professionals
  • Deputise for the Home Manager when required, ensuring continuity of leadership across the service
