Deputy Nurse Manager (RGN/RMN)

Up to £55,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week | Permanent

This beautifully designed home is the newest addition to a growing care group, providing high-quality residential, nursing and dementia care for older adults. Every aspect of the environment has been thoughtfully considered to create a comfortable, welcoming setting that supports residents' changing needs while promoting dignity, independence and quality of life.

As Deputy Nurse Manager, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to establish and maintain excellent clinical standards across the service. You'll provide visible leadership to the nursing and care teams, remain closely involved in resident care and help create a strong, positive culture as the home continues to develop.

This position requires an experienced RGN or RMN with a strong nursing home background and excellent clinical skills. Applicants must have already progressed into a senior nursing position, with a minimum of Clinical Lead experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Active NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
  • Previous nursing home experience is essential.
  • A minimum of Clinical Lead experience within a nursing or care home environment.
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence overseeing residents with complex nursing needs.
  • Experience supporting older adults with nursing and dementia care needs.
  • Strong knowledge of medication management, care planning and clinical risk assessments.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding, clinical governance and regulatory requirements.

Your Role

  • Support the Home Manager with the clinical and operational leadership of the home.
  • Provide strong clinical leadership and guidance to nurses and care colleagues.
  • Maintain oversight of residents' nursing needs, ensuring care remains safe, effective and person-centred.
  • Monitor care plans, medication management, risk assessments and clinical documentation.
  • Support residents living with nursing and dementia care needs while promoting dignity, independence and choice.
  • Coach, mentor and develop members of the nursing and care teams.
  • Complete clinical audits and contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, infection control and clinical governance.
  • Work collaboratively with residents, relatives and external healthcare professionals.
  • Deputise for the Home Manager when required and provide confident leadership in their absence.
  • Help establish a positive, high-performing culture within this new addition to the group.
