Do you have experience leading a clinical team and want to step into a role focused on clinical leadership, nursing excellence and improving resident outcomes?

We’re seeking a Deputy Nurse Manager to join our dedicated nursing team. You will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure safe, compassionate and effective clinical practice across the service.

Your key responsibilities

Clinical leadership

  • Lead and support a team of nurses and carers to deliver outstanding, person-centred clinical care.
  • Provide hands-on clinical leadership, mentoring and coaching to help colleagues grow and develop.
  • Promote best practice in medication management, clinical interventions and evidence-based care.

Nursing governance & quality

  • Create, implement and audit person-centred care plans.
  • Maintain the highest standards of clinical documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor resident wellbeing, respond to changes in condition and lead on clinical decision-making.
  • Ensure nursing standards, dignity and respect are upheld at all times.

Professional support

  • Support the Home Manager with clinical aspects of service delivery.
  • Act as the senior nurse on shift, helping maintain smooth clinical operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, reflective practice and clinical quality initiatives.

About you

  • NMC-registered nurse (RGN).
  • Strong experience delivering high-quality clinical care to older adults.
  • Confident leading or supervising a nursing team.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, frailty and end-of-life care.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to role-model compassionate, person-centred practice.
  • Positive, warm and supportive leadership style.
