What you will do:
- Respond to all calls as directed by the call centre.
- Conduct clinical assessments and provide high-standard clinical care for detainees.
- Assess fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer.
- Deliver healthcare interventions for minor illnesses or injuries and refer serious conditions for further attention.
- Perform forensic examinations and collect DNA evidence if necessary.
- Manage care for injured police officers or staff.
- Collect specimens as required by legislation.
- Work according to PACE legislation Code C.
- Provide written statements and oral testimony when required by courts or tribunals.
- Maintain accurate clinical records for company access.
- Evaluate alcohol and drug intoxication and withdrawal.
- Conduct mental health and learning disability assessments if applicable.
- Collaborate with medical services development under the Clinical Lead.
- Fulfill duties as a Forensic Clinician in custody.
- Continuously improve your clinical and forensic skills by keeping an auditable record of your experience.
- Participate in promoting policies such as Equality and Diversity, Information Governance, and Safeguarding.
- Utilize our RADAR System effectively.
Personal Specification:
Essential
- Registered Nurse - adult or Paramedic.
- Minimum 2 years qualified; 3 years' experience for certain contracts.
- NMC or HCPC registration.
- Proficient in venipuncture.
- UK resident for the last 3 years.
- Nursing experience in areas like A&E, ITU, EAU, SAU, or as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid UK Driving Licence with access to a car.
Desirable
- Leadership course or qualification evidence.
- Experience working closely with team members and external parties to improve patient care.
