Leaders in Oncology Care is seeking an experienced Uro-Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our dedicated Cancer Nursing Team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

As a specialist oncology provider, Leaders in Oncology Care delivers personalised, high-quality cancer services focused on excellent clinical outcomes and outstanding patient experience. Our service is designed to provide seamless, coordinated support from initial presentation and diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate and evidence-based care tailored to their individual needs.

As a Uro-Oncology CNS, you will work closely with inpatient and outpatient teams to deliver a high-quality specialist cancer nursing service throughout the patient pathway. Acting as a key patient advocate, you will provide expert nursing advice, education and emotional support, helping patients and their families to understand their diagnosis, treatment options and ongoing care.

You will collaborate closely with consultants, physicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, excellent communication and the best possible patient experience. This role requires strong clinical expertise, advanced communication skills and a patient-centred approach to care delivery

What you'll bring:
  • NMC Registration
  • Significant post registration experience of working in an acute hospital setting
  • Evidence of post-registration education/qualification relevant to specialty
  • Mentoring/Teaching experience
  • Experience in managing complex and difficult emotional situations with Evidence of Advanced Communication Skills (level 2 course), or willing to complete
  • Knowledge of current clinical advances and pathways of care relevant to specialty
