Clinical Lead Nurse (RGN/RMN)

Up to £48,600 per year | 36 Hours per Week | Alternate Weekends | Good CQC

We're looking for an experienced RGN or RMN to join a well-established, Good CQC-rated care home as Clinical Lead Nurse. Providing residential, nursing and dementia care for older adults, the home combines person-centred care with strong clinical oversight and an experienced management team.

You'll work closely with the Home Manager to oversee clinical practice, support the nursing team and ensure residents receive safe, responsive and individualised care. This isn't purely an office-based leadership position – you'll remain hands-on within the home, providing clinical guidance and leading by example.

The Experience We're Looking For

• Active NMC registration as an RGN or RMN.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior nursing role within a care home or nursing home.
• Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Nurse Manager or similar senior nurse.
• Strong experience supporting older adults and people living with dementia.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and confidence managing complex care needs.
• Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding and clinical governance.
• Experience overseeing medication management, care planning and risk assessments.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop nursing and care colleagues.

Your Role as Clinical Lead

• Lead and oversee clinical care delivery across the service.
• Provide hands-on nursing care and clinical guidance when required.
• Supervise, mentor and support nurses and care colleagues.
• Review care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation to ensure they remain accurate and person-centred.
• Monitor medication practices and promote safe medicines management.
• Support residents with complex nursing and dementia care needs.
• Identify changes in residents' health and ensure appropriate action is taken.
• Complete clinical audits and use findings to drive improvements.
• Maintain excellent standards of safeguarding, infection prevention and clinical governance.
• Support regulatory compliance and preparation for CQC inspections.
• Work closely with the Home Manager to monitor clinical performance and quality.
• Liaise effectively with GPs, families and other healthcare professionals.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, wellbeing and individual choices.
