Cleveland House is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the team. This is a bank role.
Cleveland House is located in Banks, Southport, in the west of Lancashire. It offers residential support for 32 males and females with an acquired brain injury (ABI), progressive neurological condition (PNC) and associated physical health needs. We are located on a residential housing estate.
Our team are dedicated to providing the best possible care to our residents in a safe and homely environment. From personal care, rehabilitation to social activities, we aim to provide a range of services that promote physical, emotional, and psychological wellbeing.

- Conditions such as epilepsy
- Difficulties with communication
- Difficulties with swallowing
- May need respiratory support through a ventilator and/or tracheostomy
What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

About you:
- Qualified Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN or RNLD) some post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having successfully completed a preceptorship programme.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, along with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Possess a positive attitude towards change, quality improvement, and service development, and is capable of adopting flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are complemented by a minimum of six months' experience within a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by evidence of continued professional development in the relevant field.
