Priory Elton Unit is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the team. This is a bank role with day and night shifts.
The Elton Unit is located on the outskirts of Bury, Greater Manchester. It is a 28-bedded specialist care home which provides residential and nursing support to adults aged 18 years and older who have a brain injury.
The brain injury service is aimed at those whose disability requires management by a specialist team of practitioners who work together to maintain the person's wellbeing and quality of life. The Elton Unit offers specialist care for a wide range of complex support needs, including people with a prolonged disorder of consciousness (PDOC).
Preference for General Nurse trained due to physical complexity of the patient group

- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
- Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.
What you'll bring to the role

- You will be a Qualified Registered Nurse with 6 to 12 months of post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration due to the physical complexity of the patient group
- You will possess thorough knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, alongside evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong commitment to change, quality improvement, and excellence in care
- Skilled in applying flexible and innovative approaches to practice, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
