Description
Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse to join the team.

Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).


What you'll be doing
You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.
  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess their need and evaluate their progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate must be a Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with 6-12 months of post-registration experience, an active NMC registration, and a completed preceptorship programme. They possess a solid understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional practices, and can demonstrate evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development. They show a positive attitude with a clear commitment to change, improvement, and quality, and are able to apply flexible and innovative approaches to practice. The candidate also has excellent verbal and written communication skills. In addition, they have a minimum of six months' experience in a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by continued professional development within the relevant field.
