Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP/ANP/PP) - Bank
The Role
Advanced clinical practice is where expertise, autonomy and patient-centred care come together.
It's where you assess, diagnose and manage patients independently, make complex clinical decisions and help shape services that improve outcomes for patients and communities. It's varied, rewarding work that allows you to use your full scope of practice while working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
At IC24, we're looking for Bank Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our Primary Care team at Herstmonceux. Whether you're an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Advanced Clinical Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner, this is an opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a flexible role while making a real difference to patients every day.
This role offers a mixture of face-to-face consultations, remote consultations and clinical administration, allowing you to utilise your advanced clinical skills across a wide range of patient presentations. For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to contribute to service development and leadership initiatives.
At IC24, primary care is not delivered in isolation - it's connected.
You'll work within an integrated healthcare system designed to improve access, reduce pressure on secondary care services and ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.
What you'll focus on
→ Delivering advanced clinical care
You'll assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients presenting with a wide range of undifferentiated and acute conditions, providing safe, evidence-based care at the point of first contact.
→ Prescribing and clinical decision-making
As a Prescriber, you'll prescribe medications independently following clinical assessment and examination, ensuring treatment plans are tailored to individual patient needs and aligned to current best practice.
→ Managing complex patient presentations
You'll assess patients' physical, psychological and social needs, determining the most appropriate treatment, discharge or referral pathway while ensuring patient safety remains at the centre of every decision.
→ Supporting long-term condition management and women's health
You'll utilise your expertise to support patients with ongoing health needs, contributing to improved outcomes through proactive and preventative care.
→ Contributing to quality and clinical governance
You'll work within IC24's clinical governance framework, participating in audits, quality improvement initiatives and shared learning activities that support the continuous development of services.
→ Collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
You'll work closely with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and wider healthcare partners, ensuring coordinated, patient-centred care and seamless communication across services.
→ Supporting service development
You'll contribute to the ongoing development of primary care services, helping identify opportunities for innovation, collaboration and service improvement.
Flexibility that works for you
We recognise that flexibility matters.
As a Bank Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you'll have the freedom to choose shifts that work around your existing commitments while remaining part of a supportive and experienced clinical team. Whether you're looking to supplement your current role, maintain a portfolio career or increase your clinical variety, bank working can provide the flexibility you're looking for.
What matters in this role
We're not looking for one type of clinician - but there are some things that matter.
You're likely someone who:
• Is a registered healthcare professional with current NMC, HCPC or equivalent professional registration
• Holds a recognised Advanced Clinical Practice qualification or equivalent advanced practice training
• Is a qualified Non-Medical Prescriber
• Has completed a Physical Assessment of Adults qualification and recognised Minor Illness training
• Demonstrates excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision-making skills
• Is confident managing patients autonomously within their scope of practice
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is committed to clinical governance, continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
Qualifications or experience in Long-Term Condition Management, Women's Health, teaching, mentorship, respiratory care or diabetes management would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you're passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and making a meaningful difference within your local community.
