What you will do
- Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
- Triage and prioritise referrals according to clinical presentation, urgency, and risk.
- Assess and manage risks relating to suicide, self-harm, safeguarding concerns, and vulnerability.
- Provide crisis intervention, clinical advice, and appropriate onward referrals.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, emergency services, community mental health teams, inpatient services, and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with Trust policies and NMC standards.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff and students.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
- Promote recovery-focused, person-centred, and trauma-informed approaches to care.
- Support service users and families through effective communication and collaborative care planning.
Requirements
- NMC Registration: Current registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
- Mental Health Experience
