What you will do

  • Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments.
  • Triage and prioritise referrals according to clinical presentation, urgency, and risk.
  • Assess and manage risks relating to suicide, self-harm, safeguarding concerns, and vulnerability.
  • Provide crisis intervention, clinical advice, and appropriate onward referrals.
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, emergency services, community mental health teams, inpatient services, and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with Trust policies and NMC standards.
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to junior staff and students.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
  • Promote recovery-focused, person-centred, and trauma-informed approaches to care.
  • Support service users and families through effective communication and collaborative care planning.

Requirements

  • NMC Registration: Current registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
  • Mental Health Experience

Salary range

  • £26.50 per hour
