Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is looking for experienced Band 6 Health Visitors to join our vibrant community services across Redditch and Worcestershire for a 3-6 month period. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver exceptional, family‑centred care to children aged 0-5 years, with a strong focus on health promotion, early intervention, and safeguarding in line with the Healthy Child Programme and national guidance.

What you will do

  • Healthy Child Programme: Deliver the Healthy Child Programme (0-5), including developmental reviews and health promotion activities.
  • Home Visits & Assessments: Conduct home visits, assessments, and provide targeted family support interventions.
  • Safeguarding: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
  • Parental Support: Advise on infant feeding, child development, and parenting strategies.
  • Multi‑Disciplinary Working: Collaborate with midwives, GPs, social workers, and other professionals.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records and documentation.
  • Early Intervention: Advocate for prevention and early intervention to improve outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications / Requirements

Essential

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN - Health Visiting) qualification.
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
  • Proven experience as a Health Visitor within NHS or community settings.
  • Strong know
