We are seeking a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse to join the Adults Community Mental Health Team in Spalding. This ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £26.00 with flexible working arrangements to suit full-time or part-time preferences. Shifts may vary, including options such as 08:00-18:00 over four days, 08:00-16:00, or 09:00-18:00.

Role Purpose

To provide high-quality nursing care within the Adults Community Mental Health Team, supporting service users and carers, managing complex cases, and contributing to positive outcomes within the community mental health setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review nursing interventions tailored to service users' needs while managing risks effectively

  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to case conferences and care reviews

  • Support service users and carers, promoting active participation in care planning

  • Manage a delegated caseload of complex cases, providing mentorship to junior staff and learners

  • Offer duty cover through telephone consultations or face-to-face assessments

  • Conduct risk assessments and manage potential risks, creating risk management plans and escalating care when appropriate

Applicant Requirements

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with relevant experience in community mental health

  • Competence in managing complex cases and providing evidence-based interventions
