Join a supportive and dynamic team as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse within the Adults Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), based at Chorley Health Centre, Collison Ave, PR7 2TH. This ongoing locum opportunity offers a competitive hourly rate of £26, along with flexible working options to suit your lifestyle.

Working Hours:
Core hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. However, flexible working patterns are available, including options such as 8:00am–6:00pm over 4 days, 8:00am–4:00pm, or 9:00am–6:00pm. Part-time applications are also welcomed, making this role ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload and undertake duty responsibilities, including Initial Response Service (IRS) assessments.
  • Administer medications, including depot injections, with sound knowledge of Clozapine and Lithium management.
  • Work collaboratively with service users in the community, promoting recovery and facilitating access to appropriate services.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior or non-qualified staff, contributing to a positive learning environment.
  • Apply knowledge of the Mental Health Act to ensure safe and effective practice.
  • Liaise with external partners such as social services, community organisations, and other healthcare providers to deliver holistic care.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions and provide signposting to additional support services where appropriate.
