Join our vibrant Community Mental Health Team in Ipswich as a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse, where you will earn an attractive rate of £26 per hour for an initial 3-month contract. This full-time locum opportunity invites you to contribute your expertise during core hours of 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to adapt your schedule to meet your needs—whether it's working 8am-6pm for four days a week or choosing another preferred arrangement.

What you will do:

  • Manage a caseload of complex cases within a busy Community Mental Health Team, using your expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate tailored care plans for adults with varying mental health needs.
  • Contribute to the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) discussions and duties, collaborating with colleagues to provide comprehensive and holistic care.
  • Support junior staff and students, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages growth and development for new team members.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions and psychological therapies to support the mental health recovery journey of service users.
  • Adapt to the unique demands of community mental health work, making home visits and liaising with other services to ensure continuity of care.
