What you will do:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred mental health nursing care across acute inpatient, rehabilitation, and psychiatric intensive care settings.
  • Assess patients' mental, physical, and social care needs and contribute to comprehensive care planning.
  • Implement and regularly review individualised care plans in collaboration with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Administer medication safely and monitor patients for therapeutic effects and potential adverse reactions.
  • Provide emotional support, therapeutic interventions, and appropriate guidance to patients and their families.
  • Monitor patients' mental health presentation, behaviour, and overall wellbeing, escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in accordance with NHS policies and professional standards.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, safeguarding procedures, and patient safety initiatives.
