We are seeking an adventurous and skilled Band 5 Custody Nurse/Paramedic to join our dynamic team in Lincolnshire, UK, with a salary of £38,110 annually. What You Will Do:

  • Respond promptly to all calls as directed, performing thorough clinical assessments to deliver high-quality care while detainees are under police or other agency custody.

  • Evaluate detainees' fitness for detention, interview, release, or transfer, providing healthcare interventions for minor illnesses or injuries, and making referrals for more serious conditions.

  • Conduct forensic examinations, documenting injuries and collecting DNA evidence as needed.

  • Provide medical evaluations of police officers or staff injured on duty, offering professional injury assessments.

  • Collect specimens as per legal requirements and adhere to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) Code C.

  • Draft written statements and provide oral testimony in courts or tribunals as necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records, ensuring availability even after contract completion.

  • Assess and manage alcohol and drug intoxication or withdrawal, as well as mental health and learning disabilities.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Head of Clinical Operations to enhance medical services.

  • Utilize our RADAR System to its full potential.
