Key Responsibilities

  • Attend all calls as directed by the call centre, responding promptly and professionally.

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for detainees, determining fitness for detention, interview, and release.

  • Provide immediate care for minor illnesses and injuries, referring complex cases as appropriate.

  • Perform forensic medical examinations, including injury documentation and DNA evidence collection.

  • Deliver care to police officers and staff injured on duty, ensuring accurate treatment records.

  • Collect forensic specimens in line with legal protocols.

  • Adhere strictly to PACE Code C and maintain the highest ethical and legal standards.

  • Prepare written statements and provide oral testimony in court when required.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and contemporaneous clinical records.

  • Assess and manage cases involving alcohol or drug intoxication, withdrawal, mental health, and learning disabilities.

  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to support continuous service development and maintain forensic competencies.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) or Paramedic with a minimum of 2 years' p
