Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Some of the duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the Associate Director of Midwifery & Neonatal Services role and its purpose within the service; they are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake additional or alternative duties and responsibilities commensurate with the level of the post, to support the smooth running of the services.
- To ensure robust governance systems and processes are in place, striving for excellence by embedding learning from incidents and complaints.
- Establish and maintain excellent internal and external relationships is essential to the delivery of a safe and high-quality service, influencing public health, health visiting, safeguarding, social care, mental health services, and service users as key partnerships.
- Assist the DoM in interpreting national policy and strategy and supporting the Trust’s response to Maternity Transformation initiatives, helping to ensure effective local implementation across maternity and midwifery services.
