Being Punctual As A Nurse

Nurse Zara, gives her top tips on how to be on time for your placements and stay punctual in your career as a Nurse.

Hello everyone, it's Nurse Zara here, one of the nursing contributors for nurses.co.uk.

I want to speak with you guys about the importance of being punctual.

When you go on your placements.

It's such a horrible feeling being labeled as a Student Nurse who is always late or never on time.

And it's also quite unprofessional.

Arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your placements, that allows some time for if there were any transport delays or if any emergencies do crop up.

I know that sounds like quite a lot of time but it was to compensate for any transport delays or if any emergencies did occur.

And that way I was always on time.

In our profession we cannot afford to be late, even a second.

Be punctual, arrive 20 to 30 minutes before your shift starts and be punctual as students.
