What you will be doing: As a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN), you will ensure young people in this 12 bed CAMHS service receive high-quality care, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork. The wards are busy, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, and a good amount of routine and variety. Your day-to-day will include: <ul> <li> Providing high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service users</li> <li> Being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care </li> <li> Providing mentorship and support to team members</li> <li> Observing, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care provided </li> </ul> Skills and knowledge you will have: <ul> <li> A relevant nursing qualification </li> <li> NMC registration </li> <li> Strong team-working skills </li> <li> A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach </li> <li> A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate </li> <li> A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice </li> </ul> Where you will be working: Location: Emerald Place Clinic, Farmfield Drive, Charlwood, Horley, RH6 0BN Emerald Place Clinic is a general adolescent inpatient unit for the care and treatment of young people aged 13 up to the age of 18. Young people who are admitted to the unit will have a primary diagnosis of mental illness across a wide range of disorders and complex needs. These could include Mental Health conditions such as Mood Disorders and acute Psychosis. Additionally young people may have co-existing additional needs such as Neurodevelopmental Disorders, including mild Learning Disabilities or Autism. A young person could also be admitted if they have disordered eating.
