Our modern, 14 bed PICU has been operational since November 2011 and offers cutting-edge treatment using the latest technology and has the support of a specialised team of Consultant Paediatric Intensivists 24/7, ensuring our team has all the tools they need to deliver truly exceptional care. As a Senior Staff Nurse on our Paediatric Intensive Care unit you'll take responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse while developing, implementing and evaluating holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team. We'll look to you to act as a role model and mentor to our junior/student nurses while using those same interpersonal skills to develop long standing relationships with children and their families. What you'll bring: <ul><li>NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support </li><li>Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting</li><li>Understanding of Safeguarding issues </li><li>Teaching and mentoring experience desirable</li><li>Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits </li><li>Excellent clinical governance and experience with audits </li><li>Experience of supervising and assessing students and shift leading is desirable </li></ul>Why HCA UK?
