CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. CPD supports the development of vocational skills through training. CPD is skills-based learning and does not confer a qualification. The CPD Certification Service is a recognised, independent accreditation service that approves courses so that they can offer a CPD Verified Certificate. Points are equivalent to the number of hours spent learning on a verified course. A CPD verified course allows you to carry those points to the total required by the regulatory body in your sector.

The course also deals with body-based awareness and self-regulation. You’ll explore the ways of using the human body for effective trauma treatment.

In this training, we will help clinicians to understand the body-based self-regulation process. You will explore how trauma can affect different aspects of body function. On the other hand, as a practitioner, you will learn how to heal trauma trauma through somatic and body-based awareness.

The course includes crucial information on current research in the field. You’ll have a journey through the theories, empirically proven treatment modalities and techniques. Furthermore, you’ll learn how to carry out assessments to minimise resistance and increase effectiveness. As a clinician, you will deepen your understanding of the unique challenges regarding relational, physical, sexual and complex trauma. Also, you will delve into some key development strategies
