Q: What made you want to train to become a nurse?
A: To increase my knowledge and understanding, and provide better quality care.
Q: Do you have a part-time job while you study - if so, what is it?
A: I work bank shifts at a nursing home.
Q: How are you finding your nursing degree course so far?
A: It’s OK at the moment but I do know it will become more intense!
Q: What would you say to someone who’s considering a degree in nursing?
A: I would tell them to do it! It’s rewarding! However, I would also tell them prepare for hard work…
Q: If you had the choice, would you prefer to work for the NHS or for a private healthcare company?
A: I’d prefer to work for the NHS.
Q: What’s your long-term nursing career goal?
A: I would love to work with the elderly, dementia, palliative care or tissue viability.
Q: What’s the strongest memory you’ve had so far in your nurse training?
A: Witnessing a family receiving bad news about the husband / father’s terminal condition.
