Placement Tip For Student Nurses: Contacting Your Placement
Quick tip for Student Nurses returning to placement, or first placement. Get in touch, and what to say.
I know a lot of you guys are either returning back to placements in January, or it's going to be your first placement for the year.
When you are going to placement, it's really important to get into contact with your placement provider.
So I'll share with you guys just a few tips on how I would go about.
Here are two ways in which you can do this.
One, emailing your placement provider and introducing yourself.
In your email state your name, your year of study, your start date of your placement, and if you could receive your off-duty rotor.
If for any reason you can't get into contact with your placement provider via email, you can always arrange an informal visit to go and visit the Ward or visit the Community Area, and that creates a brilliant impression as well.
So yes, bear in mind, getting into contact with your patient provider is very essential as you prepare for your placements.
