BENNETT MEMORIAL DIOCESAN SCHOOL's Jobs

Bennett Memorial Diocesan School is a school with rare qualities. We are an expanding Church of England School, which is academically highly successful. We also set great store by the development of character and values, and in particular, our Christian values run through all we do. We are a happy, tolerant, and inclusive school, yet unshakably clear about our distinctive character and ethos.

We believe in the potential of every young person, academically and personally. Our faith in our students means that we aspire for excellence in all spheres. At Bennett, young people develop confidence in themselves and that confidence breeds success.

Bennett is a vibrant community which fosters values and personal qualities in students. Courage and resilience, determination and perseverance, service to others, courtesy and consideration are put into practice in and out of lessons every day. Bennett students not only excel academically but have a vast range of opportunities beyond lessons, including in music and sport, travel and adventurous activities.

This is a growing school, with a current role in excess of 1,600 students, 363 of which are in our Sixth Form.

• Judged Outstanding in every area by Ofsted in 2012
• Outstanding GCSE and A Level results • Excellent reputation; oversubscribed

Our staff share our commitment to high standards, both in and beyond lessons, and benefit from our status as a centre for School Centred Initial Teacher Training, and a school which co-leads the Altius Teaching School Alliance. These partnerships facilitate access to high quality CPD and career development opportunities.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All posts are subject to a satisfactory pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
