Minor Injury and Illness Units - Senior Emergency Practitioner
Band: 7
Salary £37,570- £43,772
Hours: 1 x posts - Full time - FTC - March 2021
Location: Stroud / Vale and countywide
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, experienced and dynamic Registered Practitioner, to join our highly skilled team of Emergency Nurse Practitioners/ Emergency Care Practitioners in the delivery of high quality care to the countywide Minor Injuries and Illness units.
The successful applicant will be based in Stroud/ Vale and will be expected to be flexible to work across a buddy unit and when required travel across county. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical knowledge and effective leadership skills.

Applicants must be a 1st Level Registered Nurse or AHP, have experience within an urgent care setting as a practitioner or experience within minor injury and illness or Emergency Department setting. Experience within primary care would be an advantage, along with understanding of multi -agency/ inter-professional working. Applicants must hold a Diploma/Degree/ MSC level qualification in the management of Minor Injury/Illness and have evidence of recent clinical practice and professional development.
As a member of the team you will be expected to demonstrate that you possess well developed effective clinical knowledge and skills as you will be required to examine and treat patients, of all ages that present to Minor Injury and illness units with a wide range of undifferentiated diagnoses.
Applications from those who also hold an Independent Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification will be encouraged.
The post holder will be required to work a full range of shifts to include weekends and bank holidays.
The post holder will need to have access to a car and be able to work across more than one unit.
