This team is part of a thriving integrated CAMHS service all working from one base in Hammersmith, which has family therapists, specialist child and adolescent nurses, clinical psychologists, child psychotherapists and child psychiatrists.

The post holder will provide specialist mental health assessments and interventions to children (0-18) with emotional wellbeing concerns and support their families as part of a multi-disciplinary CCAMHS team. Clinicians will be expected to carry a clinical caseload.

Hammersmith and Fulham CAMHS is a friendly, busy, borough-located service, and operate as part of a wider 3-borough CAMHS service, including Ealing and Hounslow CAMHS, within West London Mental Health Trust. The post holder will receive supervision and close support from their Band 8a professional lead within the CAMHS service and alongside them will be offering a range of therapeutic services to children with emotional wellbeing difficulties linked mental health problems, offering both a clinic based service and also outreach where appropriate in local schools and in client's homes.

The clinician will build good relationships with the local schools. They may offer some individual work or groups to children, parents or staff and will be able to work with behavioural interventions, to use solution focused therapy or brief therapy i.e. CBT for children with low level mental health needs and to think systemically about the needs of the child in relation to their family and the wider system that they are part of.

We are looking for a skilled clinician who is enthusiastic and hard working, who brings some experience of working with children with emotional wellbeing and linked mental health problems and who wants to work in this field. Disciplines eligible to apply are clinical nurse specialists, clinical psychologists, child psychotherapists and family therapists.

We will offer excellent CPD and support and we look forward to hearing of your interest and to discussing the post informally to start with.

We encourage applications from those who have training and experience in using CBT.
