PICU staff nurse

Salary: £34,476-£39,045 per annum + £3000
Pulse is working alongside an independent hospital in Central London dedicated to care of Children and Women to recruit a staff nurse to work within a leading Paediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
This is a permanent, full time post for a registered nurse with RN Child/RSCN registration to work within a large and impressive Paediatric services team. The service includes a 13 bed PICU . The acuity and complex nature of the children who are admitted to the hospital is high and patients are received from overseas as well as the UK.
Nurses are not required to have PICU experienced, full training for paediatric trained nurses is provided.
The successful candidate for the role of PICU staff nurse is required to be a visible role model for junior staff, an expert practitioner promoting a learning environment on the Paediatric intensive care unit and provide practical, clinical training and support, to Paediatric Staff; undergraduate students and non-trained clinical staff. We are wanting to hear from applicants with a proven track record of working within a PICU and those that hold a relevant Paediatric/PICU course, post qualification. Experience of formal, informal teaching of nurses would also be expected.
At this level we would expect applicants to be competent in tracheostomy care and gastrostomy care, IV access, central line access
The salary for this role is £34,476-£39,045 per annum + £3000 depending on experience. The £3000 is offered to nurses who have completed the PICU 60 credit course & nurses can expect to receive a further £15,000 over the course of 2 years employment.
