District Nurse - 27 hours per week (Up to 3 nights)

And right now, we're looking for a Band 6 District Nurse to join our Community Out-of-Hours District Nursing Team at Bath and North Somerset (BaNES) to help us continue to change things for the better.
Working closely with our day District Nursing Teams, OOH GPs and local Hospices and Hospitals you'll provide care to people in their own homes over night. You will be on-call covering the BaNES locality with a unqualified colleague and aim to prevent unnecessary hospital admissions for our patients. You'll care for patients and their families in the way that you believe is best, delivering our high service standards, sharing best practice, and actively improving the way we work.
This is an opportunity to put your 1st level NMC registration and District Nurse qualification to great use . You will be an experienced District/Community Nurse with some leadership skills and willing to further develop your professional career. You will also have extended clinical skills including all urinary catheters, End of Life Symptom management etc.and an experience from telephone triage. With strong communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach will ensure you deliver positive experiences to patients at every stage of their healthcare journey. A valid and clean driving licence is essential for this position in order to drive our Company car and visit patients in various locations.
