We are seeking a capable and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join the Drug & Alcohol Service in the capacity of Band 7 Team Leader on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands .
You will work as part of the leadership team for Adult Mental Health and lead the multidisciplinary team responsible for providing specialist substance misuse assessment and treatment to adults in the secondary care mental health service.
You will also work as part of the Community Drug & Alcohol Team (CDAT) and manage and lead the service in delivering specialist assessment and interventions in a variety of settings.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scales. The current Band 7 salary is up to £50,172 plus an annual bonus of £1,120, higher penalty rates; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It has some of Britain's finest and best-kept beaches , an especially mild and sunny climate , and an offbeat, historic harbor town in St. Peter's Port, the island's capital.
Guernsey provides an excellent Drug & Alcohol Community service, reliant on Healthcare professionals recruited to a high standard.
Person requirements :
Registered Nurse with full Mental Health NMC registration.
Current or recent Drug and Alcohol-specific experience and training.
Completion of a mentorship qualification.
The ability to work both autonomously and closely with the extensive CDAT MDT as required.
