The Team: What we do
The Cardio/Respiratory Integrated Specialist Services (CRISS) require a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their team.
The Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Service based at Christchurch Hospital provides specialist CF care both in Canterbury and across the South Island. The CF Clinical Nurse Specialist plays a pivotal role in coordinating the care of people with CF and is a resource person for those involved in the care of people with CF. The role encompasses both inpatient and outpatient care co-ordination.
The Role: Where you fit in
As a positive role model in clinical leadership, you will work within the Interdisciplinary Respiratory team providing advice, support and information throughout the patient's disease trajectory. You will be an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Respiratory Nursing and be on the post graduate pathway having completed or be working towards a relevant post graduate qualification and preferably with a strong focus in Cystic Fibrosis.
Motivation, the ability to engage people, excellent clinical assessment, education and communication skills in addition to expert nursing knowledge and extensive clinical experience is essential for the role. Computer literacy is strongly desirable.
