The Barts Heart Centre brought together services and staff from the London Chest Hospital, UCLH’s The Heart Hospital, and those already at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. Barts Heart Centre It is the largest specialist Cardiovascular Centre in Europe, bringing together a wide range of expertise in clinical care, research and education for cardiovascular conditions. Barts Heart Centre is more than just a cardiac tertiary hospital. It is the busiest Heart Attack Centre (HAC) in the country and the world’s biggest centre of excellence for adults with congenital heart disease. The Barts Heart Centre also undertakes elective complex PCI including CTO cases, Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), Procedures for treating Congenital Heart Defects, complex ablation and complex CRT device implants.
With state-of-the-art facilities, the Barts Heart Centre has 10 cardiac catheter labs, 250 general cardiac beds and 58 critical care beds. Barts Heart Centre covers a population of three million people across North and East London, west Essex and beyond.
This post is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic cardiology nurse. We are seeking a Band 6 nurse who has the natural desire to continuously improve standards of patient care with strong leadership skills and a relevant clinical background. Candidates must have experience in cardiac catheter lab nursing and they must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
