(AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.
We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

Ward Manager Hazel Unit Psychitaric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Based at Callington Road Hospital,Hazel Unit is a purpose built 12 bedded Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) providing care for people during the most acute phase of their mental health problems. We have achieved AIMS accreditation and are members of NAPICU.
We are a Trust wide facility but predominantly serving the Bristol area we care for patients from a diverse range of backgrounds and cultures.
We also look after Gentlemen who may be detained by the Courts or Her Majesties Prisons with a view to helping alter their pathway and supporting them to alter their futures.
The emphasis is on providing a safe environment, engaging with individuals to deliver high quality, effective individualised care and ensure they return to their host team as quickly as possible or move to a more suitable placement that meets their needs.
This post offers the opportunity to manage a cohesive and effective multidisciplinary team, to influence the on-going development of that team and the unit as well as developing yourself clinically and managerially.
Interested parties should have suitable and relevant experience at Band 6 level and be able to evidence relevant continued professional development.
