With 14 ward beds and 4 high dependency care beds, our Sky Ward offers specialist services for children with conditions affecting their bones and spines. And with hundreds of children coming to us every year to benefit from our globally-famous care, our spinal and orthopaedic service is built on an exceptional multidisciplinary team who are at the forefront of medical advances. As such, we have ambitions to push our capabilities even further as we continue improving the surgical care we offer to our patients.
We are therefore now recruiting for NMC Registered child, adult and learning disabilities Nurses who would like to make the most of our industry-leading opportunities. Confident administering IV drugs, you will have exceptional communication capabilities and time management skills. You will also be passionate about developing your expert knowledge.
Joining us as a children's, adult or learning disability nurse, you will benefit from extensive development opportunities. These include gaining skills in tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, chest drains and arterial lines. We have well established education team who work alongside all staff to aid them in fulfilling their potential, including working towards completing the HDU course. You will also have an assigned mentor to guide you as you progress through your training. Providing family-centered care to your patients, you will plan, deliver, assess and evaluate your treatments, ensuring children and their families remain at the heart of every decision.
With training pathways available for newly qualified Nurses, Adult Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses, we are now offering an exciting opportunity to join our ranks on our Spinal and Orthopaedic Ward, Sky Ward.
