The new Barts Heart Centre has brought together the services of some of the best cardiovascular experts in the country who will work together to create a single specialist centre for cardiovascular disease to cover all our local communities.
You will be joining us at an incredibly exciting time, as we realise a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to improve services for today’s patients and future generations and create a world class cardiovascular service.
The development of a new centre has created vacancies for Band 5 Theatre Scrub Practitioners. This position is looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be based in Thoracic theatres. They will be trained to work with thoraco-scopic and open thoracic surgical procedures, as well as thoracic cases via Robotics approach.
This is an exciting role which will enable the staff member to grow and become a fully functional member of the Thoracic and Robotic team.
Experience within the speciality is desirable, once appointed we will build upon your specialist course with the support of a mentor and the experienced multidisciplinary team.
We offer a wide range of development opportunities including extensive mandatory training, Band 5 development programme, the opportunity for further academic studies and attendance at external conferences and courses.
