We are currently recruiting for a fantastic Home Manager position to work in a prestigious 46 Bed Nursing Home in Bedfordshire. The Home Manager should be able to lead and motivate a team with strong understanding of elderly care ensuring needs are met. We are looking for someone with the following:
Previous management experience, including financial and budget management, people and resource management.
Experience working within an elderly care environment.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and regulatory body inspection processes and documentation.
Caring and compassionate with an excellent clinical track record
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with staff, suppliers, residents, relatives and members of the disciplinary teams.
Excellent organisational & leadership skills.
Flexible & professional, quality driven with the need to continually improve performance and the homes services.

Excellent planning and organisational skills

Duties will include:
Daily management of the home and to act as the person in charge
Provide all information and literature to new service users and make appointments with potential clients.
Arrange and assess trial visits.
Assisting the provider with recruitment, appointments and deployment of care with catering and domestic staff.
Create and manage staff rotas.
Ensuring legislations and regulations concerning environmental health, infection control, building control, planning and health and safety are complied with as well as advising the person in control accordingly where action is required.
Responsible for monitoring and controlling the day to day expenditure within budgets prescribed by the owner of the care home.
Ensuring that where residents are incapable of handling their own money upon completion of assessment, that their money is handled with the utmost priority and all records of financial transactions are recorded correctly and instantaneously.
