We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic newly registered or soon-to-qualify Band 5 Midwives to join our NHS client's busy Maternity Service at their acute hospital site, located in the life sciences/Biotech hub of Stevenage, Hertfordshire , surrounded by beautiful countryside and leafy suburbs.
The Trust sees over 5,500 births per year and offers home-births, or in their midwife-led unit, or in the consultant-led unit that provides care for women with more complicated pregnancies. They currently we have five birthing pools in the maternity unit and one in their consultant-led unit.
This is a full-time role but this Trust is committed to, where possible, offering flexible hours/shift opportunities.
Our client is a major NHS Trust in North Hertfordshire providing care to a catchment area of nearly Apply people. It comprises three acute sites at Stevenage , Welwyn and Hertford , all of which are right on the A1(M) Motorway and close to the M1, offering easy access to central London by train, and to Luton Airport.
Person requirements :
Registered Midwife with (or eligible for) NMC registration.
Newly registered or soon-to-qualify Midwives able to demonstrate commitment, communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt are welcome to apply.
We are also keen to hear from Midwives from outside the UK with an IELTS score of at least 6.0 or OET score of C+, and prepared to commence NMC-registration (or in process)
We are able to provide subsidised local staff accommodation and flights/travel expenses reimbursed for Midwives relocating to the area.
Midwives who have not yet completed registration with the NMC are welcome to apply; successful applicants will be invited to commence on the top of Band 3 Midwifery Healthcare Assistant scale.
