Band 5 Staff nurse – Rosewood Ward 37.5 hours
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Mental Health Practitioner with a RMN qualification. Rosewood Ward is a 10 bed acute older age assessment ward for people with an organic illness.
The post-holder will be required to deliver expert evidence-based Practice to Patients who require in-patient Mental Health Assessment and intervention and to offer support to carers.
You will be responsible for the assessment of needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for clients admitted to your ward.
You will supervise the work of junior staff, ensuring the highest possible standard of nursing care in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of Pennine Care NHS Trust, the Mental Health Act and Community Care Legislations.
You will participate in clinical supervision and IPDR and have an active role in the development of the Nursing Team, including participation in the Education Programmes of students and others. To participate in the overall development of the service ensuring that the principles of Clinical Governance underpin all developments.

Rosewood Ward Apply All new starters to Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust who are appointed to a post which requires a Disclosure Barring Certificate check (DBS) will be recharged for the full cost of the check. Substantive staff can choose to spread the cost over their first three months’ salary or pay the full amount from their first months’ salary. Members to the Trust bank must repay the full amount from their first pay. The Trust encourages all staff and bank workers to register with the DBS update service at an annual cost of £13, for bank members this is obligatory. The cost of an enhanced DBS check is £44 and for a standard check £26, both attract an administration charge of £3.50.
