Occupational Health Nurse
Salary: £30,000 to £32,000 per annum
Based in: Preston
Additional Package Info: 25 days Annual Leave, Perkbox, Health Cash Plan
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Occupational Health Nurse to join our team based in Preston on a full-time basis.
The successful individual will work as part of a team to deliver an exceptional OH service to our client and help bring success to this contract and the Company.
This role will involve a range of activities including completing clinical assessments, conducting health surveillance and fitness assessments as well as undertaking case management.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified individual to expand their skills and experience in a supportive team environment.
Provide professional advice, support and guidance to the client and wider multidisciplinary team. Act as a professional role model
Assess clients presenting to Occupational Health providing sound clinical advice and treatment
Assess client’s fitness to work for the appropriate job role in line with our policies and guidelines
Write letters to GP/Specialists in line with the Access to Medical Reports Act and Data Protection Act
Respond to client/manager’s requests for support/information on the working environment
Provide clinical assessment of clients presenting with minor illness and injury
Provide competent treatment/referral of clients under our guidelines and written Instructions
Maintain appropriate records in line with departmental protocols on record keeping
To provide health surveillance in accordance with current legislation, and in line our DHC policies and guidelines
Ensure clinical assessment skills are maintained in line with best practice
Any other duties within the scope of the post commensurate with grade
To provide clinical support to the first aid provision on site
Occupational Health Nurse | Occupational Health | OH | OHN | Nurse | Registered Nurse | RGN | RN | NMC | Assessment
Registration with NMC Part 1
Sound educational background, including a good standard of numeracy and written English
Drive and have your own transport
Knowledge and experience of working in occupational health
Previous experience in providing a treatment service/First Aid or A&E
Experience of conducting pre-placement assessments and reviews
Experience of conducting health assessments/surveillance including Lung function, HAV’s, and Audio
Experience of producing own reports, undertaking administrative activities and arranging own appointments
Experience of developing and implementing health care initiatives
Previous experience in travel health, acute trauma or medical skills (First Person on Scene)
