The Candidate

This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Senior or Lead Anaesthetic & Recovery Practitioner seeking a new challenge within theatres. Deputising for the Theatre Managers in their absence, you will be a key member of the Theatres Team who will lead, support and assist in the management and organisation of care within the Theatres Department. We are looking for a Lead Practitioner who is motivated, committed to improving care and the patients experience, who will help develop the skills and knowledge of the team.                     

This is a full-time position consisting of 37.5 hour week, which will be worked between core hours Monday-Friday, with the occasional Saturday cover to suit the needs of the business. In order to be successful with this opportunity, you must be a Registered General Nurse with the relevant Anaesthetic qualification and registered with the NMC, or be qualified Operating Department Practitioner registered with the HCPC.

Role Requirements

- RGN or ODP qualification

- Registered with the NMC or HCPC  

- Mentorship qualification (preffered but not essential)

- Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience is preferred

- Experience within Anaesthetics & Recovery

- Previous experience working at a Senior or Lead level, equivalent of Band 6 or Band 7 

- Proven experience leading and developing a team              

- Ability to contribute to quality improvement

- Experienced within multiple specialities e.g. Orthopaedics, ENT and Urology  

- Passion for high quality patient care

- Clear Communicator  

- Proven CPD

Location        

Highgate, commutable from Hamstead Heath, Holloway, Stoke Newington, East Barnet and Greater London
