Staff Nurse - Learning Disabilities

Location: Wetherby

Salary: £30,795 per annum but often opportunities to pick up additional hours ( £15.79 p/h )

Hours: Full Time and Part Time hours are available - you can choose depending on your preference (options of: 11.5 hours, 23 hours, 34.5 hours or 37.5 hours). The hospital can also consider fixed shifts.

Shifts: Shift patterns will include some earlies, lates, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays however please let us know any specific requirements you may have (days only, nights only, shorter shifts) and where possible we will try to accommodate

Contract: Permanent

Further Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced RGN, RMN, or RNLD to work within a charitable 16 bedroom nursing home with special provision for people with a learning disability, whose overriding need is for specialist health care intervention.

Nursing staff are trained in learning disabilities and general nursing and are supported by a team of carers providing a high standard of holistic care 24 hours per day.

The house stands in private, well stocked gardens with ramped access for wheelchair users. Accommodation for people is in twelve single and four twin bedrooms, with a variety of spacious communal sitting rooms and activity rooms, including a Snoozelan room. All the bedrooms, sitting rooms, bathrooms and toilets are equipped with ceiling tracking for use with hoists to enable the safe moving and handling of people. The home has a lift to enable access to the first floor bedrooms. Downstairs there are 5 single bedrooms with access to the garden
