A comprehensive one-year Preceptorship program is offered and new nurses are supported through this crucial stage of their career with the typical warmth and welcome extended to all newcomers to the Island.
The Older Adult Service has a four in-patient centres; including an assessment ward through to the later stages of an individual's experience of dementia, as well as Community Day Services.

Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but have applied their own salary scale.
The current Guernsey Band 5 salary starts at £30,566 plus an annual bonus of £1,350 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.

Person requirements:
Registered or soon to qualify Mental Health Nurse with (or soon to be eligible for) NMC Registration.
This post is specifically open to enthusiastic graduate Nurses who are able to demonstrate specific interest and placement experience in Older Adult services and a genuine interest in developing into this sector further.
Passionate about working with older people who display complex behaviours that challenge.
